I will be giving my overall opinion too so if you want to skip straight to the second season of the show for some reason I will try presenting the anime as best as I can. ![]() If you're here reading this then I will assume you had at least a passing affection for the first season of New Game and will try focusing on what is different from the first season. But if you like softcore yuri stuff and get excitement from watching cute girls then you can watch it. If you like me, loved the first season and have had high hopes for the sequel, you are in for a disappointment. The last episode was really good, makes you wonder why we didn't get all the episodes like this. I would have given it a 5, but the last episode made me give it a 6. New Game!! just destroys every enjoyable aspect of it's valiant predecessor and tries to create a cute girl anime with tidbits of yuri tingling thrown here and there. People may diss may all the want for this negative review, but I was a real fan of the original New Game! and enjoyed every moment of it. That's the only part I have praises for as the rest thoroughly disappoint. I skipped the ED and the OP every time and made sure not to listen to it accidentally. Yagami, my favorite from the last season, does nothing and I am disappointed. The rest are busy trying to make you understand how much hard they are trying to show that there's no yuri love between them, but fails miserably. A bunch of new characters are added who serve no use to the original cast and are only thrown in for theĪoba does nothing here which develops her character. There's no perfect plot, the characters have no development whatsoever and every episode looks like a subtly designed yuri bait. While New Game! was one of the perfect SoL anime I've ever seen, it's sequel single handedly destroys all the praise it received. I really recommend to watch it if you liked the first season, and if you read this review wondering if this anime is worth it, sure, give it a try!Įnjoyed New Game! ? Thought that the sequel would be that good? I thought like that too and started watching New Game!! and what followed was an extreme test of patience of restraining myself for not dropping it. Overall this sequel of New Game was a step forward for the series and a joy to watch from start to end. This sequel also featured two ending themes, which are pretty much tied up as my favorites of the season. If I have to be honest, I never expected the new opening to surpass Sakura Skip from S1, which is an opening I absolutely adore and will most likely never leave my playlist, but STEP by STEP UP↑↑↑↑ still did a fantastic job as a mood maker and made me excited to watch the episode. In the music department, the background themes keep properly helping to establish the mood of the scenes without particularly standing out, same can't be said about the fantastic opening and ending themes, which were unskippable to me. This sequel also introduces two new girls to the cast in the form of Momiji and Narumi, two close friends who add new dynamics to the cast and form interesting duos when paired with Aoba and Nene respectively.ĭoga Kobo delivers as usual in the artistic part, with colorful and visually pleasing art and solid animation. balances well their screen time, which mixed with how likeable they are it's no surprise one ends up attached to them. ![]() Talking about the characters, god, I love everyone! New Game ![]() In the end, New Game is about these lovable girls working hard to achieve their dreams in the videogame industry, all while becoming closer to the others and having fantastic experiences, and the viewers can definitely see both things, sharing their feelings and cheering for their success. One of the strongest points of this sequel is that it found the right balance between the cute and funny parts, and the more serious, work related moments. ![]() New Game is back better than ever with this second season, which in my opinion was a solid improvement of the first.

Animals, insects, and foliage can also trigger them under the right circumstances. False alarms are usually caused by electrical failures, user error, poor application engineering, power surges, lightning, and faulty equipment. Keep in mind that motion sensors aren’t error-proof, and there are instances in which there could be false alarms. Some DIY systems also give you electronic prompts, video tutorials, or have you call a representative to walk you through the setup process. However, you are responsible for setting up your sensors if you go with a DIY home security system.īefore you install motion sensors, make sure to read the installation instructions, since they will likely include placement recommendations. If you choose a security system that requires professional installation, the installer will know how to set up your sensors. Correct installation gives you optimal coverage for motion detection and helps avoid false alarms. If you know how to use a screwdriver, you can install a motion sensor. They’re just the most practical for that kind of space for most people. With wireless motion sensors becoming standard, DIYers have it easier than ever when it comes to installation. A couple of sensors, I would probably use three, to create an approach zone right around an entry area.įor driveway detection, though, I would go with infrared beams. To me, this is the use case where Mike’s new device type would really be helpful. That doesn’t fit all use cases obviously, but again it’s usually very workable for a porch situation where you want to catch someone approaching a particular door or window. Ideally if you can point the sensors so they are parallel to the house rather than pointing out towards the street, you will get a lot fewer false alarms. Alert received in App but no LED blinking. Please turn notication on in the setting page of YoLink App. I think quite a few people use the fibaros on a porch. Notication has been turned off in YoLink App. The devices don’t have to be anywhere near as weatherproof if they’re sheltered. The porch would probably be a good place for this. Meanwhile, I use a couple of sheltered motion sensors right at the house. I’d be really happy if my security cameras would integrate with Smartthings So smart things would be alerted to their motion sensors: maybe someday. There are other use cases for which I do want to integrate with SmartThings. So you just need to shop around on those. So even with this code, the process is going to be very much one of trial and error based on your specific physical situation.Ī more definitive approach to this problem are IR laser beam sensors, these are two part devices, consisting of a transmitter and a receiver array of multiple beams, these are pretty much fool proof when used out doors.ĭue to physical and aesthetic constraints I am not able to use these, so I’m left with this proof of concept plaything that I’ve built.Īs far as cameras go, these days most security cameras have their own built-in motion sensors. So now I’m testing out a 1 second window, should that not detect any real motion events, then I’m going to have to move my sensors around and try again. With the two second window I got one false positive, where normally I would have received 10 during the day and 1 or two at night. In my case, this solution with two sensors, and a window of 2 seconds has reduced (but not eliminated) the false positives. In any case, my locations aren’t going to work for you, unless you live in the house next door! There is no simple 100% solution for this, and the location(s) of my sensors are sill a work in progress. With this change, Minimum Active Threshold is a user-configurable value that defines the minimum number of motion detectors that need to go active in the zone within the activation window, in order for the zone to be considered active. The ECU needs to know the coolant temperature and the outside air temperatures in order to figure out the correct cold-start air/fuel combination. I havent driven my car much but yesterday while on the way to the store, the check engine light went on. The last code was P0128 so I had the thermostat replaced and put in all new coolant. If you hit the gas pedal but struggle to get your car going, it could mean a problem with the coolant sensor. coolant Hi again Im still dealing with the check engine light issue. Note- If there is an excess of black smoke coming from the exhaust pipe, it is advised to contact a mechanic immediately. Inaccurate readings sent from the coolant temperature sensor can cause the fuel management system to mix fuel improperly. When the ratio of air-fuel is not in proportion, particularly if the mixture becomes too fuel-rich, It will get exceedingly difficult to process the fuel completely inside the combustion chamber, leading to the burning of the leftovers in exhaust pipes. If you notice black smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe it could be due to a miscalculation of the air-fuel mix in the engine. This is another clear-cut sign of a bad sensor. ![]() A faulty sensor can send a permanent cold signal to the engine by not pumping enough fuel when needed, while it can also feed a permanent heating signal by not turning the radiator fans when the temperature climbs. If the coolant temperature sensor is not able to detect hot and cold conditions, it can cause the engine to get overheated. If your car uses only one all-purpose temperature sensor that fails to produce an accurate reading of the engine’s temperature, a bad engine coolant temperature sensor might be the cause of the cooling fans not starting. While most cars have two separate sensors for the electric fans, dashboard, and engine management system, some vehicles only have one coolant temperature sensor to manage the cooling fans. Electrical Cooling Fans Not StartingĪnother suggestive sign of a broken coolant temperature is the cooling fans for the engine not coming on. If you feel uncomfortable handling this, consider having a certified mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, come over to handle the repair for you and check if the Check Engine Light is reading any other codes. This cycle will cause the engine to deliver poor fuel economy and more importantly, will lose its efficiency in the long run. Please note that a lot of vehicles have special coolant fill procedures for when you refill your coolant. If you feel like this is a job you can handle be sure you clear the codes and reset the module after performing the repair. Recommended Services Or For Any Other Auto Repairs Get a Quote Reggie Whiddon Automotive Mechanic 35 years of experience Sounds like you have a code P0128. After replacing the thermostat, record your engines warm up cycle and compare it to before the repair to confirm your issue was resolved. A Check Engine light system check revealed a possible thermostat problem. If it is, then I’d recommend replacing the thermostat. You would first test that the thermostat is indeed at fault by monitoring a warm up cycle of the engine. Either of these options lead to the engine not reaching the desired temperature level. This DTC can be triggered by a missing or stuck open thermostat, a faulty coolant temp sensor, or damaged wiring to the coolant temp sensor circuit. Now the code gets recorded because sometimes the thermostat has become stuck open or it leaks when closed. The computer does this because it is trying to go into closed loop operation as quickly as possible leading to better fuel economy. The computer monitors the warm up cycle of your engine - it looks for your coolant temperature to rise to a certain level within a given time frame. ![]() ![]() Set security ipsec vpn lon-man-vpn ike gateway LON-SRX Set security ipsec vpn lon-man-vpn bind-interface st0.0 Set security ipsec policy lon-man-ipsec-policy proposal-set compatible Next, create an IPSec policy called ‘lon-man-ipsec-policy’ and apply it to a new VPN called ‘lon-man-vpn’ to be formed with the London SRX over the ST interface: Set security ike gateway LON-SRX external-interface ge-0/0/1.0 Set security ike gateway LON-SRX address 172.16.0.1 Set security ike gateway LON-SRX ike-policy lon-man-ike-policy Set security ike policy lon-man-ike-policy pre-shared-key ascii-text VeryStrongKey Set security ike policy lon-man-ike-policy proposal-set compatible Set security ike policy lon-man-ike-policy mode main Now create an IKE policy (we’ll call ours ‘lon-man-ike-policy’) and tell the Manchester SRX to use this for IKE negotiations with the London SRX over the external interface: Set security zones security-zone INTERNET host-inbound-traffic system-services ike Next, to allow the tunnel to form we need the SRX to listen for IKE packets on it’s external interface: Set security zones security-zone VPN interfaces st0.0 Set interfaces st0 unit 0 family inet address 1.1.1.2/30 To build our tunnel, we first need to create our ST interface and bind it to a new security zone that we’ll call ‘VPN’: To keep things brief, all config examples will show the Manchester end of the tunnel. We’ve got some consultants in setting up the Azure side of the VPN and once I got into the portal I laughed at how much they were charging for turning on the VPN feature and setting a private key – that’s it! There’s very little control to be able to do anything else and if you want logs to see why things aren’t going to plan, you’d better rely on your own device for that.Īfter a couple of hours they’d written some PowerShell to gather some information that was stale because we’d already moved on past that particular error.īut that said, the Azure side just works. Not just with Juniper, but a range of firewalls. Microsoft have a Github page with not just guidance, but specific configuration examples to help do this. This means we need to setup an IPSec VPN between the Juniper SRX and Azure. I’m not a Microsoft fan, and think it’s overpriced for the functionality we’ll actually use. We’re getting on the Microsoft Office 366 and band wagon. ![]()
![]() I demand a lot of my computer when I’m doing the live show as I record into Hindenburg, broadcast my video and audio through Chrome to mimoLive and on to YouTube, route my audio from my mic and Hindenburg back into Discord and YouTube using Audio Hijack, plus a plethora of other less-demanding applications. I recently swapped out the 15″ for a 16″ MacBook Pro, connecting it to the same dock and peripherals as I’ve been using for a long time. From there I hang a bunch of peripherals off the dock, including my 27″ LG 5K display via Thunderbolt. For years I have been using a 15″ MacBook Pro hooked up to a CalDigit Thunderbolt 3 dock. We are now finally to the Problem to be Solved™. When Turbo Boost Kicks In for No Reason Audio Hijack with Dock Cranking Fans You ask the CPU to do more work, it speeds up, it heats up, and macOS tells the fans to speed up to cool it back down. All of this I’ve told you makes perfect sense. It’s not good for the processor to get too hot though, so at some point, the fans will speed up to maintain a safe CPU temperature. When the processor speeds up, it generates more heat. There are some side effects to Turbo Boost. Save my battery when I’m just fooling around but when I’m transcoding video or doing other such heavy lifting, give me all the power. It’s available in Setapp too if you have a subscription.īottom line is that Turbo Boost sounds like a really good thing. If you’re not already running iStat Menus you really should check it out. I use the tool iStat Menus from Bjango to monitor the speed of my processor and many other metrics. Our 2.3GHz iMac has a Turbo Boost clock speed of 3.6GHz.įor purposes of our discussion, we need to understand when this Turbo Boost will occur and what factors cause it to engage.Īvailability and frequency upside of Intel® Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 state depends upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, the following:īasically, if you’re demanding a lot from your computer you could see the process speed ramp up and for short bursts even reach the top Turbo Boost speed. When you buy a machine, you’ll often see two speeds: the standard clock rate and the Turbo Boost rate. In the Intel line of processors which are in all modern Macs and many PCs, Intel calls this ramp-up in speed Turbo Boost. Then, later on, you decide to transcode some video, maybe rendering from FinalCut or ScreenFlow that’s even more work for the processor to do so it has to speed up even more. This is a bit more work so the processor will increase to a higher clock speed. With a laptop, this is extremely important because it means longer battery life.īut let’s say you decide to watch a video on YouTube. If you’re just doodling around writing emails, your CPU doesn’t have much to do, so it will slow down to a very low clock speed. This is a huge advantage from a power consumption perspective. Modern CPUs can operate at varying clock speeds. Ok, so we’ve established that our new 21.5″ iMac has a clock speed of 2.3GHz. For simplicity of discussion, I’m going to ignore the effect that multi-core processors and multi-threaded processes have on speed. If you try to compare to a different processor family, such as the i3, i7 or i9s, then you can’t just look at the clock speed to know how fast the machine will go. In our entry-level iMac example, a 2.3GHz Intel Core i5 would be faster than a 2.0GHz i5. If we stay within a given processor line, we can speed up our computations by getting a processor with a faster clock speed. The clock speed is the number of cycles per second in which the processor does its operations. ![]() The speed in GHz is the clock rate or also called the clock speed. The CPU family is the Intel Core series, the specific processor line is the i5, and the processor speed is 2.3GHz. Let’s use as an example the entry-level iMac with a 2.3GHz Intel Core i5. CPU stands for Central Processing Unit, which we often just refer to as a processor. When you choose a computer you’ll see information about the CPU family and about the speed of that CPU.
